“House-brewed beer meets KC smoke”
Smoke Brewing Company gave downtown Lee's Summit its first barbecue-and-brewery combination when brothers Jeff and Josh Edwards opened it in 2017. It's a genuine two-in-one operation: house-brewed beer on one side, a smoker running all day on the other, and a chef-driven menu built to bridge the two rather than favor either. Burnt ends and brisket lead the barbecue, smoked long and paired with beers made in-house rather than shipped in—a flight assembled to sit right beside a tray of smoke. Smoked wings round out a shareable order for the taproom crowd. The dual focus is the whole draw: few places in the metro make both the beer and the barbecue under one roof, and Smoke commits fully to each instead of treating one as a sideline to the other. Come for a flight and a plate, and give both their due.
A rare brewpub-plus-barbecue where both are made in-house—the beer brewed on site, the smoker running all day. Brothers Jeff and Josh Edwards pair long-smoked burnt ends and brisket with a flight built to match, in downtown Lee's Summit.
